Abstract

Clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) among the community of Pohgading Village, Gembong District, Pati Regency, was still low according to the initial observation of Universitas Safin Pati students during their Community Service Program (KKN). This community service activity aimed to build health understanding and healthy habits in early childhood and school-age children. The activity was carried out from 5 to 8 August 2026 at SDN Pohgading, TK Fortuna, and MI Miftahul Huda. The methods included coordination with schools, interactive counseling using visual presentation media, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and a group planting activity, delivered by students from midwifery, nursing, pharmacy, and primary teacher education programs. The topics were proper handwashing, oral and dental health, medicinal herbal plants, the dangers of cigarettes and alcohol, and the impact of bullying. An anti-bullying socialization was also delivered to grade V–VI students of MI Miftahul Huda to promote students' psychosocial well-being.The results showed that participants understood the material delivered, and students in grades I–III were able to practice the handwashing steps. Knowledge gain was not measured with a formal pre-test and post-test, so the improvement is reported descriptively. The planned counseling on PHBS and stunting prevention for pregnant women and mothers of toddlers was not implemented and is recommended as a follow-up program.
